The Animal Clinic of Billings has been caring for pets since 1981.
The Animal Surgery Clinic opened in 2005 as an addition to the original clinic and reflects our commitment to provide high quality diagnostic services, medical, and surgical care for the sick and injured.
Our Canine Physical Rehabilitation Center offers patients, especially those recovering from spinal and orthopedic surgeries, care and services that were not previously available in Montana or other states in our region.
Our Veterinarians
Dr. Ken Brown

Dr. Ken Brown grew up on the Montana hi-line and attended Montana State and Colorado State Universities where he earned his DVM degree in 1975.
Working in emergency and surgery practices in California and Denver provided the opportunity to develop and improve the necessary skills for his lifelong veterinary passion – providing care and surgery for injured animals.
Returning to Montana in 1981, Dr. Brown started the Animal Clinic of Billings and married Cathy Hansen-Brown, a local actress, musician, and teacher. Cathy put her own career on hold to raise their four children and provided dedicated support to launch the Animal Clinic, enabling Dr. Brown to provide additional emergency and surgical services. Their children Taylor, Hannah, Maddy, and Guthrie reflect their mother’s talent and love of the arts, theatre, and musical performance.
The time spent on his wide-reaching surgical practice and serving as Hospital Director of Animal Clinic of Billings and Animal Surgery Clinic limits the time available for Dr. Brown to provide general practice services. However, he is proud to work with an outstanding team and trusts his associate veterinarians to provide excellent care for general veterinary services.
