Today, FEA is the largest supplier of prescription safety eyewear in Southeast Michigan, serving more than 100 industrial clients. Fortney Eyecare has been the national administrator of General Motors' prescription safety eyewear program since 1992 and has been a recipient of GM's "Supplier of the Year" award.

Fortney Eyecare has two full-service eyewear laboratories. These labs allow for superior service, quality assurance and nation-wide coverage. Advanced computer capabilities track utilization, eligibility and ensure accurate billing.

But Fortney Eyecare doesn't just practice "safe specs." As one of the top 100 optical retailers in the U.S., FEA also offers the latest styles in non-safety or "dress" eyewear. Our industrial patients appreciate being able to buy both their safety and dress eyewear at the same location.

Fortney Eyecare Associates has five locations in the metropolitan Detroit area. Our professional staff includes trained and certified Doctors of Optometry and Opticians. FEA also works with a panel of Ophthalmologists to whom patients are referred who require specialized treatment.
